The policy outlines the department’s position on requests for NDIS funded supports to be delivered to a student at school, during school time. It confirms that NDIS providers do not have an automatic right to access schools to deliver NDIS supports, that principals will consider requests on a case-by-case basis and that principals may terminate NDIS provider access to their school if conditions of access are not met. The procedure sets out the process for access for each party involved, including the principal making the decision, the parent making the request, and the NDIS provider delivering the service.
